Oliver
King, a 20-year-old autistic man, is currently at the centre of a
dispute over the suitability of his accommodation. The converted flax
in Redruth where he has lived for the past five years is the centre
of the battle.
His father, Ron, has said that he wants his son moved urgently because
he says the flat is not suitable. He claims his son is hampered because
he has no contact with people of his own age.
Cornwall County Council and the West of Cornwall Primary Care Trust,
who share responsibility for the care of Oliver, have been discussing
the issue with the family and agencies.
Oliver King's father, Ron, has said that he is prepared to go to
court if necessary to get his son moved.
